Current work in progress is the “Whale and Hockey Stick” galaxies, NGC 4631 and NGC 4656, along with the surrounding group.
Been wokring on this one for about 6 weeks now. Plan is to gather 6+ hours each of R, G, and B from the home obs, and then go as deep as possible on Lum during an upcoming week-long dark sky trip in Texas. The acquisition of the new AP Mach1 should help!
Last night’s “first light” for the Mach1 saw me reach 100 300s frames of Red, and the results so far are promising.
