TriStar Observatory is really nothing more than a small box in my back yard, just outside the light polluted skies of Nashville, TN. TriStar from the 3 stars of the TN flag, and..well…seemed like “Star” should be in the name somewhere. 🙂
TinyObs is the “observatory” itself.
The goal was to allow permanent placement of the astroimaging gear, allowing protection from the elements, but for the “building” to be small, inexpensive, and easily removed if necessary.
The rig is managed remotely, via remote desktop software, from the comfort of my desk in the house.
